About project

The project idea derives from the  worrying situation that  many students  in Europe  have low  state of belonging to their own cultures and have prejudices towards  other European cultures.The  prejudices coming from history  remain  as an obstacle for  the  different European cultures  to recognise each other.The main  objectives of the project  are to develop a cultural awareness,prevent prejudices against others,promote European cultural and language diversity which popular culture has shadowed.

The project intends to give the pupils a sense of their own identities,while teaching them to respect and accept the identities,cultures and traditions of others and thus mutual cultural awareness will streghten their own and their European identity.They will  discover the similar aspects of different cultures and traditions,life styles,and promote better understanding of others and a sense of European citizenship.

Students learn by producing materials about traditional cuisine and customes by discovering  the value of clothing as a means of culture and develop  the manual skills thanks to building architectural house models and arouse interest in joint historical heritage and promoting ICT skills by project activities.Pupils will act a drama written in the languages of all partner countries and performed by pupils involved.This will draw attention to multilinguism in our European home.

The project will implement the following tasks: project logo, a joint website, workshops, project clubs, exhibitions, notice boards, models of historical houses, a traditional attire album, an international recipe book, video recordings of traditional kid games, presentation dvds (including students' creativity and best practices), dolls, mascots, posters, brochures, drama(Eurotopia) and log.
